Computer manufacturers have “raced to the bottom” when it comes to low priced workstations.  To make sure your employees are productive and your workstations have business grade security features, make sure each computer meets these minimum standards:
  • Operating System:
    • “Pro” version of Windows 10
    • “Pro” version of Windows 11
    • macOS version released in the last 3 years
  • TPM Chip
  • Processor:
    • 8th generation or newer Intel i5 processor
    • 5th generation or newer AMD r5 processor
  • 8GB of RAM
  • Solid State Hard Drive (Minimum 256GB)
Because the statistical liklihood of failure increases with each year of age, most companies will proactively replace computers that are 3-5 years old.
